THE MORRISON & FOERSTER FOUNDATION ASIA 2020 REPORT – ASIA | 11 Our support for U.S. charities serving parts of Asia where the firm has offices began shortly after Morrison & Foerster opened its Tokyo office in 1987. Our peak giving in that region occurred in 2011, when our donations in response to the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan that year totaled more than $600,000. On the following page is a sample 2020 community grant by the Foundation to a nonprofit organization working in Asia.
