THE MORRISON & FOERSTER FOUNDATION TERRACIANO SCHOLARSHIPS The Foundation offers renewable annual scholarships of up to $12,000 per student for the undergraduate education of children of Morrison & Foerster staff members through the Joseph E. Terraciano Scholarship Program. This program honors the memory of Joe Terraciano, an exceptional lawyer with the firm. Joe exhibited intelligence, initiative, leadership, the highest ethical standards, care, and respect for those around him, a commitment to excellence in all that he did, and a love of diversity. Scholarship recipients are selected based on a combination of academic achievement, financial need, and demonstrated concern for the well-being of others. Since its inception in 1990, the program has funded $3.4 million in scholarships for 224 students. $10,000 California ChangeLawyers Diversity Scholarship Program San Francisco, California California ChangeLawyers is a statewide foundation that empowers the next generation of lawyers, judges, and activists to create a more diverse legal profession. Its fellowship program helps lawyers from diverse backgrounds launch their careers at legal aid organizations on the front lines of social justice. $10,000 District of Columbia School of Law Foundation Summer Public Interest Fellowship Program Washington, D.C. As a school with historically Black college and university status, the UDC School of Law is committed to preparing its students for careers in public interest, public service, and public policy reform. This commitment includes providing stipends to law students working in low- or no-pay summer positions in public interest, governmental, and judicial offices. $10,000 The Sonia & Celina Sotomayor Judicial Internship Program New York, New York The Sonia & Celina Sotomayor Judicial Internship Program seeks to cultivate and develop future leaders by placing high school and law school students from underserved communities and diverse backgrounds in judicial internships in state and federal courts in the New York City area. OTHER PUBLIC INTEREST AND DIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS In 2020, the Foundation made charitable donations to a variety of other public-interest scholarships and programs promoting diversity in the legal profession.
