Patrick Machado has been appointed to the board of directors for Principia Biopharma Inc. Patrick currently serves as a director for several biotechnology companies, including Adverum, Chimerix, and Turning Point Therapeutics, and previously was a co-founder, chief business officer, and chief financial officer of Medivation, Inc. At MoFo, Patrick was an associate in the San Francisco Business Group from 1988 to 1996. Carla Miller was promoted from vice president, litigation counsel to senior vice president for business and legal affairs at Universal Music Group. At MoFo, Carla was an associate in the New York Litigation Group from 1996 to 1998. Tamar Schwartz was promoted to professor of law, legal practice, at the University of Richmond School of Law. At MoFo, Tamar was an associate in the Washington, D.C. office Litigation Group from 1989 to 1991. S. Dawn Smith , president and chief operating officer for Cologix, has been appointed to the board of directors of Health Catalyst, Inc., a leading provider of data and analytics technology and services to healthcare organizations. At MoFo, Dawn was a partner in the Palo Alto Corporate Group from 2005 to 2009. Gang Xu was recognized by DCA Live as one of the 2019 Top Corporate Counsels in the Washington, D.C. region.
