MoFo Launches Latin America Desk MoFo launched a multipractice Latin America Desk on June 19, 2019, which includes corporate, litigation, investigations, compliance, and finance capabilities. The Desk was enhanced by the addition of a market-leading team of nine corporate lawyers, including partners Randy Bullard, Alexandra Aguirre, Enrique Conde, and Juan Delgado, who advise on inbound and outbound investments for Latin American clients. Led by Ruti Smithline and now also Mr. Bullard, Morrison & Foerster’s Latin America Desk includes lawyers who are native or fluent speakers of Spanish and Portuguese and from a broad range of practices who do significant work in the region and understand the relevant business, economic, cultural, and legal environments. MoFo Celebrates 40 Years in Washington, D.C. Our rapidly growing Washington, D.C. office turned 40 this year. In honor of this milestone, members of MoFo’s D.C. office hosted a reception on September 12, 2019, that was attended by more than 150 guests, including clients, alumni, and friends of the firm. Four of the original six MoFo D.C. lawyers were also there. In addition to the reception, our D.C. lawyers and staff marked the anniversary by volunteering at Food & Friends, a local organization that prepares and delivers nutritional meals to people facing critical illnesses, as a way to give back to the local community. The service project also featured a food drive that yielded over 1,500 food items.
