MoForever Fall 2021 | 10 Jeff Silberman joined the firm as a partner in the FinTech and Financial Services Groups. He brings to the firm nearly two decades of legal experience in the FinTech, financial services, and capital markets space, including nine years as in-house and general counsel at prominent FinTech and financial services companies. Jeff’s clients range from startups to mature-stage FinTech companies and financial institutions. Prior to MoFo, he served as global co-chair of the FinTech practice at another leading international firm. His focus includes bank/FinTech partnerships, mobile banking and app-based financial services, e-commerce and marketplace business models, blockchain and smart contracts, crypto currencies, and payments. Jeff has extensive experience advising financial institutions and high-growth companies on the various legal, regulatory, and operational complexities associated with creating digital-first financial products, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and licensing arrangements, and the adoption and scale of online, app, and cloud-based business models. (J.D., 2004, New York Law School) New York Office Boston Office FIRM UPDATES UNITED STATES Anthony (Tony) Fiotto joined the firm as a partner in the Litigation Department in Boston, and serves as the office’s Litigation head. Tony brings to the firm 30 years of broad litigation and arbitration experience, including extensive first-chair trial experience. His practice focuses on complex commercial and securities litigation, as well as partnership and shareholder disputes, and disputes involving corporate mergers and acquisitions. Tony has been lead trial counsel on countless matters over the course of his career, including multiple trials in the Delaware Chancery Court. He represents a broad range of clients in matters involving private equity, venture capital, real estate investment, hospitality, and healthcare and life sciences.
