(Nasdaq: ADSK) in its acquisition of Spacemaker AS, a Norwegian architecture software firm that uses cloud-based, artificial intelligence (AI) and generative design to help architects, urban designers, and real estate developers create and evaluate options for building and urban development with greater efficiency and improve opportunities for sustainability. The acquisition of Spacemaker provides Autodesk with a powerful platform to drive modern user-centric automation and accelerate outcome-based design capabilities for architects to optimize design alternatives while considering design criteria and data. We also assisted Autodesk in its acquisition of Pype, an India-based, AI construction cloud provider that uses machine learning to extract and process data from project plans and specifications for automating construction project management workflows and creating efficiencies. The acquisition marked Autodesk’s fourth construction-based acquisition since 2018, joining Assemble, PlanGrid, and BuildingConnected. Earlier in the year, we represented Autodesk in its alliance with Aurigo Software to bring best-in-class capital planning, design, and construction products together for public and private owners.
