MoForever Alumni News - Summer 2018

17 | MoForever On Wednesday, May 23, the New York office partnered with Prudential and Legal Services of NYC to help eligible immigrants apply to become U.S. citizens at a naturalization clinic held in MoFo’s New York office. MoFo alumna Leda Moloff, Vice President, Corporate Counsel at Prudential, led the volunteer recruitment effort at Prudential. MoFo alumnus Adam Heintz, Director of Pro Bono at Legal Services NYC, is the architect of the agency’s naturalization clinic model. Leda was an associate in the New York Litigation Group from 2009 to 2015. Adam was an associate in the New York Litigation Group from 2007 to 2013. Each MoFo-Prudential team worked with a client to complete the lengthy application for citizenship and compile the required documents. Once the applications are submitted, MoFo lawyers will stay with the clients to respond to any follow-up requests from the government and to prepare the clients for their eventual citizenship interviews. If all goes as expected, sometime in the next year the clients seen will be sworn in as citizens of the United States.
